The job is the rail, not the printout.
Two courses. Shift Ready is the station. Mixology Lab is the twelve drinks a ticket actually names.

Shift Ready
- The well is a station. Mise, tickets, and a call-back before you reach for the bottle.
- Friday volume is a system. One drink at a time, romanticized, is how the rail drowns.
- ID is a procedure: the date, the photo, the light, the story that doesn’t match the face. Common fakes you have actually been shown — not a feeling.
- A cutoff is early, quiet, and shared with the lead. Water, the check, no speech.
- The handoff is part of the job. What you tell the next bartender is a record, not gossip.

Mixology Lab
- Twelve drinks, built to a written spec. Not a vibe, not a riff, unless the guest asked for a riff.
- Stirred drinks stay stirred. Built drinks stay in the glass. Shaken drinks get a hard shake and a clean strain.
- Zero-proof is a real build with the alcohol left out — named on the ticket so nobody pours a live spirit by habit.
After the courses
Pass the school exam, then sign the Passport. State cards — California RBS, TABC, MAST, OLCC, BASSET, plus TIPS or ServSafe Alcohol if you hold them — are listed on the same record and confirmed on each state’s own portal.
